I spent the better part of today listing my very first item on eBay. I finally worked up the courage to start selling, but man, is it complicated. I have new respect for eBay sellers. Strategy, psychology, math, law, rules, policies, photography, shipping weight, insurance ... there's a lot that goes into an eBay listing!

I'm getting ready to unplug my satellite modem and -- in what has become an annual tradition -- take August off from the Internet. Too much to do, too little time, and all that. Books to read, stories to write, rivers to float, hikes to take ....
Summer in Montana is short, and precious.
