Furl is broken
My Furl feeds -- Recently Viewed, Books, Movies -- have been broken for a month or two now. The Furl folks finally replied to my inquiries with a canned "We're aware of this problem and working to fix it" note around a week ago. Since then, they've not fixed the feeds, but have introduced a redesigned "furling" process. I've tried to keep an open mind, but it doesn't seem like much of an improvement. Now the pop-up opens another pop-up, which just doesn't make sense. It's also slow and has an ugly little tendency to freeze my browser.

I'm thinking about switching to Del.icio.us. Stay tuned.

I am experiencing the same problem with the popups. They end up freezing my browser. I'd switch to del.ico.us if they could save my pages to an archive like furl does. As far as I know they only save the links so if the links become invalidated, I may lose the bookmark.

That's good to know, Femi. I haven't had time to properly research Del.ico.us yet. Furl did find this blog post and emailed me the following:

Thanks for being a Furl user!

We noticed via your blog comment that you were experiencing problems with the new Save function. Are you using the latest browser button?

If not, we highly recommend deleting your old bookmarklets and getting the update here:
http://www.furl.net/tools.jsp

This update should alleviate any slowness or other trouble you were experiencing when Furling new items.

We are also actively working to resolve the issue with RSS feeds. Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,
The Furl Team

I did replace my fast Furl!! button but haven't yet figured out how to remove the Furl toolbar. There doesn't seem to be any way to delete or uninstall it. I suppose I should just reinstall over the old one ...?

I really appreciate that Furl responded to my blog post, but I'm seriously bummed that the feeds are still broken.
